The Art of Being Human Through Sacred Sexuality

Eros Fine Arts is committed to helping others discover and be who they truly are by exploring the sacredness of their sexuality.

Sacred Sexuality is about the feel of energy in the body. It is our sexual connection to self, life and others. It’s about honouring spirit and self. Sexuality is our life force; our creative drive; our energy movement. Since all things in life are sacred, our sexuality must be sacred as well. Each person creates their own definition of sacred sex which is a personal and ever-evolving journey. I have found that sexuality and creativity are entwined; if our sexuality or creativity is blocked, stagnant or repressed the other will be as well. A healthy balanced creativity will also lead to a healthy balanced sexuality. Regardless of your artistic experience or skill, whether you consider yourself at the beginning or well into your path of exploration, using the arts can help you with this process.

Happy Solstice

It feels somehow right to post an update today since the last major update was on the Winter Solstice. As the summer solstice arrives, I am happy to say many of Eros Fine Arts ventures are beginning to manifest.

1 Updates from the winter post:
The blog has been up and fully functional for several months. I have been posting regularly and enjoying every moment of it. My goal for the blog over the next few months is to post more reviews. And yes, occaisonally Leah posts on the blog.

The updates on the website are still ongoing, in adddition to the blog, new sites appear on the link page time to time. We are still developing the new website and it is a very exciting process.

2 Eros Fine Arts and Facebook:
We now have a Facebook ‘page’ in addition to the group you.  Regular updates on the page will include Ecstasy in the Everyday blog post notifications, links to great sexuality resources, events and other exciting things. Visit the group or page to join

3 You can have an opportunity to win a free Coaching by Cheri online consultation - focused on sacred sexuality - as a thank you for participating in our anonymous survey on sexuality education, resources and services.  We’re gathering information to ensure the services we offer meet our clients' needs and to ascertain how we can most effectively promote positive sexuality in our communities. Other prizes include an Exploring Sacred Sexuality through the Arts Kit(s).

The online survey will launch in the next week. The link will be here in the news feed, on the bog, Facebook and other locations. The survey is open to all - please forward the link to anyone you think may be interested in participating in the survey.

**This is an anonymous survey. Personal information is only gathered when entering the draw and is kept separate from your answers. Some portions of the summarized results may be shared with select sexuality educators/practitioners who collaborate with Eros Fine Arts but the specific and overall results will remain with Eros Fine Arts exclusively. No personal information is shared in anyway.

Have a great summer filled with lots of pleasure!

Happy Winter Solstice everyone!
Welcome back light.

For the last few years I have started to consider the winter solstice my time to start a new year, much how others treat January 1st. It’s a time to reflect on that which I intend to achieve and how to go about making it happen. Both art and sacred sexual practices are great tools for exploring this.

This year I find it important to look back in order to move forward. I am reexamining not only the previous year but many before it. This is where I will source my inspiration for my upcoming projects. For Yule gifts this year I have received two very interesting books on, what I call, practical sexuality. This puts my immediate list of books to review up to 5. It’s very exciting to have so many books to read and then share with you how they can be used in your own sacred and practical sex lives.

In the New Year look for the launch of my blog. It will include thoughts from me, Leah and the occasional guest. You can expect book & DVD reviews, tips, exercises and our personal perspective on any number of topics. Early in the New Year, the website will have some significant updates and later it will be re-launched with some major additions.

During this busy season may you find time to embrace that which is at the core of you, your passion, whatever that may be. If you are unsure on what it is, here’s a little help to begin the discovery process.

A little Solstice gift for you all:

Acrostic on Passion

Explore what passion means to you by writing an Acrostic. Using the word PASSION*, write a poem exploring your passion. Write PASSION down the centre of a piece of paper. Use the letters that make up the word in each line of the poem. Allow the poem to build itself. To add focus, ask yourself the question ‘what is my relationship to passion.’

*You can use any word that feels right for you, putting the focus on sexuality/sensuality/sexual energy can help to access your core self.

Happy New Year!

Some examples using the word Life:

August 18th, 2009

Exciting news! Today I hung my art series Alphabet Porn. It runs from August 18th to September 29th at Good For Her in Toronto. Further information can be found on the Calendar page.

I am working on some new and exciting things personally and for Eros Fine Arts. I will keep you posted as soon as I have more to share. To whet your appetite, I'll just say that there's a lot of artistic play going on in hopes that there will be more content to share with you in the future. I'm having a lot of fun and I hope the result will be fun for you as well.
